Dr. Yu received his PhD degree in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University in 2004. His advisor is Prof. Stephen R. Schach. He received his MS degree from Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Science in 1995 and his master thesis advisors are Prof. Douxing Li and Prof. Hengqiang Ye. He received his BS degree in Physics from Jilin University in 1992 and his advisor is Prof. Chengxiang Zhang. Before joining IUSB, he was a visiting assistant professor at Tennessee Tech University. In Spring 2014, he worked at New York Institute of Technology - Nanjing campus as a visiting faculty. In Summer 2018, he was an adjunct associate professor at University of Notre Dame. His research interests include software coupling, software maintenance and software evolution, empirical software engineering, as well as business data analysis, business decision-making, and financial modeling. Besides writing research papers and technical books, Dr. Yu also enjoys writing fiction. The following story is set in Granger, Indiana, where he lives with his wife and their dog, Dumbledore.
