Solve the following exercises from the textbook:

• Chapter 4.1, pages 120 and 121, exercises 2 a, b, c, 4 a, c, e, g, and 9.
• Chapter 4.5, page 148, exercises 1 and 4. Note that an onto function is surjective and a one-to-one function is injective.
• Chapter 4.8, pages 172 and 173, exercises 2, 3 a, c, f, 9.
