Dr. Yu received his PhD degree in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University in 2004. His advisor is Prof. Stephen R. Schach. He received his MS degree from Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Science in 1995 and his BS degree in Physics from Jilin University in 1992. Before joining IUSB, he was a visiting assistant professor at Tennessee Tech University. His research interests include software dependency, software maintenance, software reuse, software evolution, empirical software engineering and open-source development.
