This is a T-33. The T stands for Trainer. The Trainer had 2 seats for the pilot and the instructor.
The T-33 was used as a trainer for jet pilots. The combat model had just 1 seat. It was one of the first jets for the U.S.. This one was discovered in pieces in a corn crib in Kentland, Indiana. It was there for 30 years. It was brought to South Bend and restored to like new condition.
