Scholarship Winners
Every year the computer science scholarship committee has
the pleasure of selecting the John P. Russo and
William J. Knight
Scholarship recipients. The criteria for selection of the scholarship
winners is primarily based on academic achievement. The computer science
faculty congratulate the scholarship recipients and applaud their
achievements.
Purpose:
The John P. Russo and William J. Knight scholarships have
been established to provide current undergraduate and graduate students
majoring in Computer and Information Sciences at IU South Bend with
financial assistance in completing their degrees. The basis for the
scholarship is demonstrated potential for academic excellence in Computer
and Information Sciences. The Scholarship will be awarded annually through
the Computer Science Scholarship Committee.
Application requirements:
These Scholarships are for Academic Excellence and are
competitive. They provides financial support for part-time and
full-time computer science students at IU South Bend with potential
for excellent academic achievement. Applications are available at
the Department of Computer and Information Sciences and on the web at

. The awards are open
to current undergraduate and graduate students (see below for details).
The William J. Knight scholarship is also available to incoming
students. Application deadline is May 1.

Note to Scholarship Winners
Awards Ceremony: Awards are presented at the Honors Night,
which is held on the Friday before graduation. In addition to the Award
Certificate provided by the Department and the College of Liberal Arts and
Sciences, the scholarship recipients typically receive a cash award between
$500 to $3000.
